SUMMARY:Privacy-preserving solutions for Security-as-a-Service (SecaaS) modell
DESCRIPTION:Marcin Niemiec, \n – \nAbstract:\nNowadays, Security-as-a-Service (SecaaS) model is using by organizations of different sizes and profiles. Unfortunately, such services are characterized by a risk of confidential information leakage – the customer’s security policies are exposing to cloud service providers. The security policy contains confidential information regarding the organization’s infrastructure, vulnerabilities, and threats. This raises a serious privacy concern.\nIn order to resolve the problem, some privacy preserving solutions for SecaaS services have been proposed over the past years. During the seminar, the mechanisms which are operating using the principles of the hybrid cloud architecture will be presented. They are dedicated to security services whose security policies can be represented in the form of a decision tree (firewall, IDS, IPS and others).\nBio\nMarcin Niemiec is an assistant professor at the Department of Telecommunications, AGH University of Science and Technology (Krakow, Poland). His research interests focus on security and data protection, especially security services, symmetric ciphers, intrusion detection, risk management and quantum cryptography. He has actively participated in 6th and 7th FP European programs (ePhoton/ONE+, BONE, SmoothIT, INDECT), Eureka-Celtic (DESYME) and several national projects. He coauthored over 60 publications and reports (papers, deliverables, book reviews, IETF draft, and book).\nFor more information:\n\nmiguel.p.correia@tecnico.ulisboa.pt ( mailto:miguel.p.correia@tecnico.ulisboa.pt )\n\n
