DESCRIPTION:Encontro Ciência 2025 is an annual event taking place in the Lisbon area, which represents a meeting point for the entire national and international scientific community. “Science, Innovation and Society” is this year’s theme, and will once again be a stage for the promotion and discussion of the scientific, social, cultural and economic impact of research in Portugal.\nINESC-ID has organised a session, entitled “The role of resilience, strategic autonomy and defence research in the EU at Encontro Ciência 2025”, taking place on July 11, from 15h35 to 17h00. The focus will be a discussion on the role of research in promoting resilience, strategic autonomy and defence in the context of the European Union. The debate will be structured around two main points: a critical reflection on the current challenges and the demonstration of the strategic contributions already underway in the various INESC research institutions (INESC Coimbra, INESC ID, INOV, INESC MN and INESC TEC).\nThe moderator will be Sílvia Castro, Head of Innovation Management Office at INESC-ID, and will feature, as a speakers:\n\nJoão Claro, Chairman and CEO, INESC TEC\nCarlos Henggeler Antunes, Director, INESC Coimbra\nNazua Costa, Cybersecurity Business Development Manager, INOV- INESC\nNuno Santos, Strategic Coordinator of the thematic line Security and Privacy, INESC ID\nSusana Cardoso de Freitas, Director and Executive Director, INESC MN\nNuno Cruz, Coordinator at the Centre for Robotics and Autonomous Systems, INESC TEC\n\nOn the same day, at 11h, INESC-ID researcher, Rui Henriques, will also participate as a speaker in the a session, organised by LAQV-REQUIMTE, entitled “IA como Agente Transformador do Sector Agroalimentar”, which will also feature Filipe Neves Santos from INESC TEC, among other researchers.\nOn July 10 researcher Helena Moniz will be a speaker on the session “Science for Policy: Community, Knowledge and Impact” which will go from 11:30 to 13:00.\nDate: July 9 – 11\nLocation: NOVA SBE Campus, Carcavelos\nKnow more here ( https://app.encontrociencia.pt/session-details/15717 )\n
