Deep neural network architectures for explainable dual-process computation
Develop methods and algorithms for prompt optimization in networks that use sparse autoencoders, in order to elicit the activation of internal monosemantic features. The final objective of the work is to use mechanistic interpretability techniques to increase explainability and controlability of foundational models, a central objective of the Center for Responsible AI project.

OBJECTIVES | FUNCTIONS
The objective of this grant position is to support the research team of ATE-PRR in activities related to the development of the final NILM solution integration, including the following tasks:
Task 1: Plan the required steps leading to integration of the NILM hardware and software (4 weeks)
a) Determine the end-user system requirements.
b) Propose a final integration plan.
c) Assess the hardware and mostly firmware modifications required in the developed NILM module.
Task 2: Solution development (4 weeks)
a) Adapt the already developed software solution and user web interface using the toolchains previously mentioned.
b) Conduct and test the required NILM prototype firmware adaptations.
Task 3: Design a printed 3D plastic enclosure to hold the NILM module (4 weeks)
a) The enclosure should be compatible with compatible with a small household monophasic circuit breaker, to be installed in the electric frame.
b) The enclosure should be designed for ease of installation by a certified technician.
c) Test the complete system using synthetic stimuli and verify compliance with the requirements.
