  ONE (1) Post-Doctoral Research Grant with reference number BPD|2025/748 under the scope of the Project VERSACOMP – Refª 2023.18110.ICDT / LISBOA2030-FEDER-00869000 funded by operation nº 15038, Balcão dos Fundos, FEDER and FCT, is available under the following conditions:

   

  OBJECTIVES | FUNCTIONS 

  This scholarship recipient is expected to perform activities integrated in the following tasks:

  Investigation of current trends in parallel architectures, focusing on programmability as well as the characterization and modeling of their general-purpose capabilities; Investigation of AI hardware trends, with emphasis on programmability and the characterization of AI capabilities in CPUs, GPUs, and dedicated accelerators; Identification of computational patterns suited to AI-enhanced processors and standalone accelerators, and of applications exhibiting these patterns in performance-critical hotspots; Development of methods to streamline programming AI-enhanced systems, taking into account partitioning / mapping and overlapping computation with memory transfers; Write a technical report about the performed work.
