CMU Portugal Open Calls for Mobility Initiatives – Visiting Faculty & Researchers and Visiting Students
The Carnegie Melon University (CMU) Portugal Program has open calls for Mobility Initiatives – Visiting Faculty & Researchers and Visiting Students – focused on research, innovation and education in Information and Communication Technologies (ICT). The calls, funded by Fundação para a Ciência e a Tecnologia (FCT), aim to foster collaboration between Portugal and the United States for further improvement of research and innovation.
Aimed at students who want to pursue a PhD at a Portuguese university with a research period of up to 12 months at CMU in Pittsburgh, allowing students to develop their research projects in collaboration with the university.
- 12 scholarships available in the area of ICT;
- Areas of interest include Electrical and Computer Engineering, Language Technologies, Machine Learning, Software Engineering and more;
Visiting Students e Visiting Faculty & Researchers
Building on the success of both the Faculty Exchange Program and Undergraduate Internship Program previously launched, this program will support up to 8 grantees to spend between 2 weeks and 2 months collaborating in research, education, and innovation in ICT at CMU. It will also support up to 12 master’s students or masters in Portugal and in ICT-related areas to spend between 2 weeks and 2 months working in research at CMU.
- 12 scholarships for students and 8 scholarships for faculty and researchers to carry out a research period at CMU;
