The 16th International Conference on Scientific Computing in Electrical Engineering (SCEE 2026) took place from 4 to 8 May at Instituto Superior Técnico, organised by INESC-ID, INOV, and Instituto Superior Técnico.

Bringing together experts and researchers in mathematics and electrical engineering, the conference aimed to foster the exchange of knowledge and ideas, through a programme of dynamic talks that encouraged meaningful discussions between the two communities.

Throughout the week, participants attended invited keynote talks, oral presentations, and poster sessions, covering a wide range of topics, including computational electromagnetics and bioengineering, among many others.

The programme concluded with the Young Scientist Award, promoted by SCEE, which recognises the outstanding achievements and contributions of master’s, PhD, and post-doctoral students. Amine El Mehdi Zekri in 1st place, Peter Förster in 2nd, and Felix Engertsberger in 3rd were the winners of this 2026 edition.
