From 27 to 30 January 120 experts from 30 countries gathered for the 10th Current/OS Plenary, hosted by INESC-ID and the Shift2DC project, at Instituto Superior Técnico University of Lisbon.

The first two days were dedicated to specialised Technical Committee sessions held behind closed doors. The open event on 29 January started strong with an opening session featuring Current/OS President Yannick Neyret, Hugo Morais, INESC-ID researcher in Sustainable Power Systems and PI of Shift2DC, and João Martins, from FCT NOVA. This was followed by several sessions covering Current/OS updates, technical sessions, partner presentations and keynote interventions by Mário Simões and Pedro Ferreira from EDP, focused on Portugal’s innovative approach and interest in direct current (DC) solutions.

The final day was dedicated to project presentations, workshops, and visits to the main labs at Técnico; the Institute for Systems and Robotics (ISR-Lisboa), the Center for Innovation, Technology and Policy Research, and the Aerospace Engineering Lab. To close the plenary, INESC-ID President, Miguel Pupo Correia and Current/OS President Yannick Neyret provided some words and announced RWTH Aachen University in Germany as the host for the next plenary.
