Ana Paiva appointed EurAI President
Ana Paiva, INESC-ID researcher in Artificial Intelligence for People and Society, has recently been appointed President by the European Association for Artificial Intelligence (EurAI).
The appointment was confirmed during the EurAI General Assembly, which took place in Bremen. By taking on this role, Ana Paiva joins the EurAI Board, composed of several experts in artificial intelligence (AI), as the 18th President, becoming the second woman to hold the position since the creation of EurAI.
Founded in 1982, EurAI, formerly known as the European Coordinating Committee for Artificial Intelligence (ECCAI), serves as a representative organisation for the European AI community. The association is dedicated to advancing artificial intelligence research, fostering collaboration across Europe, and supporting the development and application of AI technologies.
