The work to be done in this scholarship scope is to design and develop a Radio Access Network (RAN) network slicing solution that adapts to current traffic and mobility patterns to achieve optimized performance in terms of slice isolation and slice traffic performance. To achieved this, the following modules should also be designed and developed: 1. Data traffic generation framework based on 5G traffic scenarios; 2. Generation of mobility traces by using urban mobility generation tools such as SUMO; 3. Generation of radio channels using the generated mobile traces; 4. Study the feasibility of using data extracted from network simulation tools to add to the generated traces; 5. Combining the generation traces into a synthetic dataset; 6. Design and development of a machine learning solution that uses the fabricated synthetic dataset.
