OBJECTIVES | FUNCTIONS
The selected candidate will be a member of the research project SafeIaC, which aims to create the first solution for reliable analysis and automated repair for Infrastructure as Code (IaC) that supports multiple technologies and provides formal correctness guarantees.
The selected candidate will:
Contribute to the creation of software tools that can be used to reason about correctness and/or safety properties of software artefacts related to Infrastructure as Code (IaC) Investigate how AI tools and techniques can be used to generate IaC specifications (e.g. as Policy as Code) Participate in regular project meetings with the other members of the SafeIaC project Produce a technical report with all the research findings to be submitted to a scientific conference or journal

OBJECTIVES | FUNCTIONS
This scholarship recipient is expected to perform activities integrated in the following tasks:
Investigation of current trends in parallel architectures, focusing on programmability as well as the characterization and modeling of their general-purpose capabilities; Investigation of AI hardware trends, with emphasis on programmability and the characterization of AI capabilities in CPUs, GPUs, and dedicated accelerators; Identification of computational patterns suited to AI-enhanced processors and standalone accelerators, and of applications exhibiting these patterns in performance-critical hotspots; Development of methods to streamline programming AI-enhanced systems, taking into account partitioning / mapping and overlapping computation with memory transfers; Write a technical report about the performed work.
