Dispositivos tubulares inteligentes integrando sensores e actuadores para plataformas lab-on-chip (STARCHIP)
Type: National Project Project
Duration: from 2018 Aug 01 to 2022 Jan 31
Financed by: FCT
Prime Contractor: R - INESC MN (Other) - Lisbon, Portugal
This project aims at the first demonstration of a new tubular device embedding high performance MR sensing and magnetic actuation for dynamic counting of magnetic particles. Being built upon a thermoplastic, the device displays intrinsic shaping capability, which allied to the implementation of a thermo-moldable microfabrication tool, opens doors for applications and uses beyond medical devices. Conformal sensing parts for difficult access locations in nondestructive testing settings or tactile sensing for robotic hands, are but a few examples of where such moldable/flexible sensing solutions can make a difference.
