Establishing a partnership between Portugal-based INESC-ID, a research & development + innovation organization in Computer Science and Electrical and Computer Engineering affiliated with Instituto Superior Técnico, the school of Architecture, Engineering, Science and Technology from the University of Lisboa, American-based Duke University School of Medicine and Global Health Institute, and The University of North Carolina at Greensboro's School of Arts and Sciences and Clemson’s School of Computing. This partnership will enable the development of long-term collaborations across multidisciplinary projects which involve the application of state-of-the-art immersive interface technology and artificial intelligence to health-related use cases, ranging from inclusive access to world-class health care delivery in low-to-middle income countries (LMIC) to the development of intelligent diagnostics, and immersive-supported medical training and education.
