Festival Nacional STEAM Innovation 2026
The Festival Nacional STEAM Innovation is a showcase and celebration dedicated to creativity and innovation in education, by students, for students. The event brings together students from Portuguese schools who participated in initiatives such as STEAM Innovation, presenting tinkering and making projects integrating multiple STEAM disciplines.
Organised by NUCLIO in collaboration with the III Encontro de Clubes de Ciência de Oeiras and with the support of Instituto Superior Técnico (Campus Oeiras), INESC-ID, ITQB-NOVA, and Oeiras Municipality, the festival will feature projects developed in school Maker spaces, science clubs, Digital Education Laboratories (LED), and classrooms.
A jury will select three projects to represent Portugal at the International STEAM Innovation Festival in Matera, Italy, joining peers from Greece, Cyprus, and Italy for two days of project sharing and presentations to policymakers, researchers, educators, and the general public.
