Inauguration of the Exhibition “Art with Science” by Leonel Moura
As part of the celebrations of the 114th anniversary of Instituto Superior Técnico, an exhibition entitled “Art with Science”, by Leonel Moura, will be inaugurated at the Técnico Innovation Center.
The artist is a pioneer in the application of robotics and artificial intelligence to art, having significantly contributed to the dialogue between art and technology, and in this exhibition will introduce the audience to robots that create paintings using random decisions influenced by the surrounding environment.
The exhibition is hosted by Instituto Superior Técnico, sponsored by INESC – Institute for Systems and Computer Engineering and INESC also supported the development of artist robots, with collaboration with robotics researchers from INESC TEC.
