Oeiras Gaming 2026

On 9 and 10 May, Oeiras Gaming 2026, the intergenerational gaming festival bringing together parents, children, grandparents and grandchildren will be held at Pavilhão Leões de Porto Salvo, in Oeiras.

The INESC-ID GAIPS team will be present with three interactive demonstrations:

Treme-Treme — A serious game about seismic risk and tsunamis, designed to promote disaster preparedness among children and school communities. The project is already featured in school textbooks, television programmes, and has had a dedicated space at Museu Quake — Lisbon’s Earthquake Centre since 2022.

Geometry Friends — A cooperative puzzle platformer where a circle and a rectangle must collaborate to collect diamonds in a simulated physics environment. A reference platform for international Artificial Intelligence competitions, it has been featured at prestigious conferences including IJCAI and the IEEE Conference on Games. Visitors will be able to play against an AI agent.

EmoShow — A research project exploring how a robot’s behaviour influences the emotions and group dynamics of two users, through a game that simulates social exclusion scenarios to study wellbeing and sense of belonging.

Date: 9–10 May
Location: Pavilhão Leões de Porto Salvo, Oeiras

Tickets available at bol.pt, Fnac, CTT Correios, El Corte Inglés, Worten, Agência ABEP, Agência Alvalade and at the venue on the day.
