
“Vencer o Adamastor” Award – 3rd Edition Ceremony
The Prize “Vencer o Adamastor” (‘Overcoming the Adamastor’), worth €20,000, is an initiative by INESC and the Público newspaper that recognises innovative work by young scientists in the field of information and communication technologies, which not only demonstrates scientific excellence but also potential for economic development.
The winner of the third edition, Pedro Orvalho, recently finished his PhD thesis at INESC-ID, graduating from Instituto Superior Técnico, and is currently an associate researcher at the University of Oxford.
The award ceremony will be presided over by the Minister of Education, Science, and Innovation, Prof. Fernando Alexandre.
