Biography
Molecular and Computational Biologist. Holds a BSc in Biology with a specialisation in Molecular Biology and Genetics and a Minor in Informatics from the University of Lisbon and a MSc in Biotechnology from NOVA University Lisbon. Currenly works as a Bioinformatics Technician at INESC-ID, under the advisement of Prof. Ana Teresa Freitas at the Information & Decision Support Systems (IDSS) research group and the Life and Health Tecnology Thematic Line.
He's integrated in BioData.pt, the national research infrastructure for Life and Health data and he has been appointed Node Coordinator for ELIXIR Portugal. As a technician, he is responsible in providing bioinformatics analysis and support and maintaning and developing computational infrastructure for Life and Health scientists. He also has responsibilities in training, where he is one of the trainers for the Ready for BioData Management? capacity building programme. Most of his work also concens FAIRification and development and dissemination of open science practices.
